Supplementary lamination accessories cover zone preparation, protection during the procedure and additional services (tinting) offered within a single appointment. It's important to note that each product on this page has a specific function — they are not interchangeable with each other.

Lamination Accessories — Cleansing, Tinting and Protection in One Appointment

A brow lamination procedure provides natural logic for adding tinting at the end — the brow is already optimally positioned, and the tint deepens and enhances the lifted shape. It's important to note that tinting is applied AFTER lamination, not before — the lamination chemical system can affect the colour of a pre-applied tint.

Saline for the Eye Zone

The specialised saline solution for lamination is different from standard lash degreasers. It's important to note that the area around the eye — and especially the brows — is in close proximity to the ocular mucosa. For brow lamination, cleansing with an isotonic solution is gentler than alcohol-based or strongly alkaline products. Saline leaves no residue and does not irritate on incidental eye contact.

Tint and Developer — Two Products, One Service

The brow tint (Shiny Black) and the developer must be used together. It's important to note that the tint does NOT activate on its own — the developer is required for the colour reaction. They are mixed immediately before application at the ratio specified by the manufacturer. Mixing a tint from one brand with a developer from another is not recommended without verifying compatibility.

Disposable and Reusable Patches — the Practical Difference

Under-lash patches protect the lower lid skin from contact with the chemical compounds during the procedure. Disposable patches (paper or gel) are discarded after each procedure — no cleaning required. Reusable silicone patches can be washed and used again. It's important to note that "reusable" requires careful hygiene — the patches must be cleaned after each client and replaced at visible deformation or deterioration.

Frequently Asked Questions

Must tinting always be applied after lamination?

Yes — preferably after completing the three-step chemical protocol. It's important to note that applying tint before Step 1 exposes the coloured fibre to additional chemical stress, and applying between Steps 1 and 2 may interfere with fixation.

Can a standard lash degreaser substitute for Saline in brow lamination?

Functionally — yes for most clients. But it's important to note that isotonic saline is gentler on sensitive skin around the eye and is specifically formulated for this zone.
